It scans headers and generates an origami-inspired, premium Table of Contents page inserted right after the cover. In addition to creating clickable /GoTo links for each index row, it injects a tiny, elegant "TOC ↩" hovering anchor at the corner of each target chapter page. How do the bidirectional anchors work?
We create standard Link annotations on the TOC page targeting the respective pages; then we embed a link back to the TOC page on all target chapter sheets.
Will inserting the TOC page break existing page numbers?
No. The compiler accounts for the offset of the newly inserted TOC page, ensuring all target destinations align.
Is the TOC page valid when printed physically?
Yes. The generated TOC lists clean physical page numbers to guide paper readers while enabling clickable links on screen.
